All drivers communicate with our supervisor/dispatcher via Nextel GPS two-way cell phones.

U.S. TRANS has an established preventive and predictive routine maintenance program.  This program is operated by U.S. TRANS' certified auto mechanics in our state of the art 10,000 sq. ft. facilities. Our in-house parts supply is open 4:30am to 12:30am seven days a week. Should the need arise for any part that is not on hand, we have a Delco and Ford parts distributor two blocks from our facilities. Our eight bay garage has four lifts, capable of lifting a motor coaches up to 36 tons. We have a Quarrels Fuel Depot across the street with four 10,000 gallon fuel tanks which helps keep fuel cost to a minimum. Our tow trucks can not only bring a back up unit, it can tow the downed unit back to our garage, saving time and worry. We have authority to repair warranty items from our manufacturer, Krystal. By repairing our own vehicles, we help keep down-time to a minimum; there is no 2 to 3 day wait for a dealer repair. A daily inspection form is completed and forwarded to the mechanic.  As noted, corrective work is performed in the time frame as warranted.  Weekly detail inspections are completed by the mechanic with necessary repairs and adjustments made. Each vehicle will pass a safety inspection at any time while in operation.

Executive Drivers - Professionally qualified drivers are provided for high level executives in government and private industry. U.S. TRANS drivers and staff are all screened for background clearance and must be drug/alcohol free. (3)                 Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) Division – provides operators and management teams to manage government transportation and motor pool services.  While the assets and facilities are publicly owned, U.S. TRANS provides the operators, technical and management resources. U.S. TRANS has participated in numerous demonstration projects dedicated to shuttle development, ADA, GOCO’s and alternative fuel programs for compressed natural gas (CNG). We have worked with Washington Gas to help implement the first (CNG) station in Maryland. As an operations oriented firm, U.S. TRANS has embraced new technologies, not for the sake of innovation, but as a means to creative problem solving.

Five years ago U.S. TRANS recognized the impact of ADA on providing paratransit service and the lack of supporting infrastructure.  We embarked on a program to develop software systems that could address the complexities and sensitivities required of this service, recognizing the potential of ADA shuttle services.

(4)        Facilities Maintenance Division.  This division provides warehouses, facilities maintenance services and freight logistics and waste management to both U.S. TRANS Contracting and GOCO Divisions.

(5)        Leasing Services.  U.S. TRANS provides vehicle-leasing service for local, state and federal governmental agencies.  U.S. TRANS has the capability of providing a wide selection of motor vehicles.  The selection includes; sedans, vans, buses and trucks. Leases are drawn on a model year basis and start on the date the lessee takes delivery of the vehicle.  The lease continues for 24 to 72 months.
